Heartbreaking News For Ghana As Top Player Injured Few Days To World Cup
Ghanaian midfielder Baba Iddrisu got injured on Wednesday when Mallorca beat Atletico Madrid 1-0.
At halftime, Rodrigo Battaglia took the place of the 26-year-old, who was in pain and had to limp off.
Iddrisu was going to be part of Ghana’s final World Cup team, which hasn’t been announced yet. The injury happened at a bad time, because he was on the team.
Under Otto Addo, the Mallorca midfielder has been a mainstay in the Black Stars. He played in both the friendlies against Brazil and Nicaragua.
No one knows how bad the injury is, but Otto Addo has to name his team by November 13.
Ghana plays Switzerland in a friendly match just seven days before they play Portugal in their first World Cup game on November 24.
South Korea and Uruguay will also play Ghana.
