USMNT squad confirmed for 2022 World Cup
The USMNT will leave for Qatar in less than a week. On Wednesday in New York City, the 26 players who will be on Gregg Berhalter’s 2022 World Cup team were named.
After missing the 2018 World Cup in Russia and being left out of international football for eight years, the U.S. will play its first game against Wales on June 17.
The 26-person roster is led by players like Christian Pulisic, Tyler Adams, Weston McKennie, Gio Reyna, and Brenden Aaronson. The team will be (on average) the youngest at the 2022 World Cup.
Who will play center-back first? Who’s going to go first? Will all of their top players be healthy enough to play against Wales, England, and Iran in Group B?
Recent results and performances mean that Berhalter is under a lot of pressure, and the USMNT needs to get off to a great start.
