Sancho has joined the Stamford Bridge club on a season-long loan but the Blues have an obligation to buy him on a permanent basis next summer for a fee in the region of £20 million (€23m/$26m) to £25m (€29m/$32m), depending on Chelsea’s performance this season, as SUPERSPORTS24 understands. The England international will then commit to a long-term contract with the London club.

It is noteworthy that earlier in the summer transfer window, Sancho was associated with a potential transfer to Juventus and reportedly reached an agreement with the Italian club, despite Chelsea being his preferred destination.
There seemed to be an opportunity for the 24-year-old to contribute under Erik ten Hag at Manchester United, despite their public disagreement last season, which led to his exclusion from the team and subsequent loan to Borussia Dortmund in January. However, following a brief appearance in the Community Shield defeat against Manchester City, he was omitted from the squad for the initial two matches of the Premier League season, indicating that a transfer was becoming increasingly probable.
