Manchester United triggers a one-year extension
The English defender, whose contract was set to expire in June 2024, will now stay at Old Trafford for one more year as United has triggered the extension clause in his contract, according to The Athletic This comes just days after the club, triggered a similar clause on Victor Lindelof’s deal.
Earlier extended Lindelof’s contract
Four other Red Devils stars (Manchester United)- Anthony Martial, Tom Heaton, Jonny Evans, and Hannibal Mejbri – are in the final six months of their respective contracts. While the club are yet to make a call on Heaton, Evans, and Mejbri’s futures, they have reportedly decided not to extend Martial’s stay.
