I wasn’t intimidated by the crowd in Kumasi, I’ve played at a sold out San Siro’ – Victor Osimhen
ssc Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen insist he didn’t find himself under any intimidation or pressure despite the huge crowd in Kumasi, stating he’s even played in front of a full capacity at San Siro.
The 23 year old led the lines for the Super Eagles last Friday when they held the Black Stars to a tough goalless drawn game at the Baba Yara Stadium in the first leg of the 2022 FIFA World Cup Playoffs.
Osimhen, who has netted 4 goals in 7 matches in the ongoing qualifiers, admitted the game was a massive one but added he wasn’t moved in any way by the crowd he witnessed in Kumasi and has played in front of a huge crowd which was more than this. He said;
“The game was a massive one. The whole Ghanaian fans came out for their team, and we were pushed to get something out of the game,” Osimhen told Elegbete TV in Nigeria
”I wasn’t intimidated by the crowd as I’d played in San Siro where it was sold out. I know the kind of pressure it is. Kudos to the team, chief coach and back room staff for motivating us ahead of the game.”
