Tyson Fury knock out Dillian Whyte WBC Heavyweight bout
Tyson Fury defended his WBC heavyweight belt on Saturday, defeating Dillian Whyte XXXXX in front of 94,000 fans at Wembley Stadium in London. Fury improved to 31-0-1 and handed Whyte (28-3), his fellow Brit, his first loss since a KO defeat to Alexander Povetkin in August 2020.
Fury took a rematch to beat wilder in 22 the february, 2020 to reclaim his WBC heavy weight title and have now defended it successfully.
Fury had stated in the lead-up to the bout he would retire after the fight. If he does not follow through on those plans, he could set his sights on the winner of Oleksandr Usyk — the WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight champion — and former titleholder Anthony Joshua in June to become undisputed in the division.
