Manchester United release official statement on Cristiano Ronaldo after interview
After Cristiano Ronaldo’s explosive interview, Manchester United has made a public statement about him.
Ronaldo said some amazing things about the team when he talked to Piers Morgan. He said that United hasn’t done anything to improve its facilities since Sir Alex Ferguson left in 2013.
The Portuguese forward also said that United’s board of directors and manager Erik ten Hag are trying to get rid of him. Ronaldo also said that he didn’t respect Ten Hag because he didn’t respect Ronaldo.
In response, Manchester United has now made a formal statement. On the official website of the United, it says:
“Manchester United is aware of how the press is talking about an interview with Cristiano Ronaldo. When the club knows all the facts, it will decide what to do. We are still focusing on getting ready for the second half of the season and keeping the spirit of teamwork that is growing between the players, coach, staff, and fans.”
Cristiano Ronaldo has already played his last game for Manchester United.
Under Erik ten Hag, the player who used to play for Real Madrid has had a hard time this season. In 16 games, he has only scored three goals and set up two more in all competitions.
Even though he has started 10 games across all competitions, he has often been used as a substitute.
Even though his future at the club seems uncertain, the recent interview may have put an end to his time there.
Fans’ hopes were raised again when he was said to be coming back to the club in the summer of 2021. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner scored twice in his first game back, a 4-1 win over Newcastle United. But it didn’t take long before things started to go wrong.
Given how things are right now, United fans may have seen the forward play his last game for the team.
