Lionel Messi expected to return to PSG training on Thursday
Canal Supporters says that Lionel Messi, a forward for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), will return to training on Thursday, November 10, after missing the team’s 2-1 win over FC Lorient. Messi missed the game because he was sick.
The 2022 FIFA World Cup is coming up soon. It will be the last time Lionel Messi plays in the tournament.
Before the competition in Qatar, people were worried about how much the Argentine played.
He didn’t play in PSG’s win over Lorient because his Achilles tendon was sore.
Messi can play for Paris when they play Auxerre on Sunday, November 13. This is good news.
The Argentine will get back to team practice on Thursday morning before this weekend’s game at Parc des Princes.
Messi, who is 35 years old, has been in great shape this season, scoring 12 goals and setting up 14 others in 18 games across all competitions.
It happened at the same time that Christophe Galtier’s team had a great start to the season. They are currently on top of Ligue 1 with 12 wins and two draws in 14 games.
PSG also made it to the knockout rounds of the Champions League. In the round of 16, PSG will play Bayern Munich.
Before the World Cup, Messi is likely to play his last game for PSG against Auxerre.
Then, on November 16, Argentina will play a friendly against the United Arab Emirates.
Then, on November 22, La Albiceleste will fly to Qatar to play their first game of the tournament against Saudi Arabia.
Presnel Kimpembe, Kylian Mbappe, and Keylor Navas are all expected to train with Lionel Messi on Thursday.
Kimpembe also missed PSG’s win over Lorient because of a problem with his Achilles tendon, but he will get back to training with the team.
The French defender has played in 10 games across all competitions and has helped Paris keep three clean sheets.
Navas has back pain, but he should be back in training soon.
Gianluigi Donnarumma has been so good this season that the Costa Rican goalkeeper hasn’t had a chance to play yet.
So far this season, Galtier’s team has only given up nine goals in the league.
During the win away at Lorient, Mbappe felt a sharp pain in his adductor, but Galtier said it was nothing serious.
In 19 games, the French striker has scored 18 goals and set up five more.
Fabian Ruiz, on the other hand, won’t be there because he hurt his adductor muscle.
