HEARTBREAKING: Sadio Mane To Miss World Cup After Sustaining An Injury
Sadio Mane will not play for Senegal in the 2022 FIFA World Cup because he got hurt on November 8 during a league game for Bayern Munich.
Mane got hurt in the 15th minute, so Leroy Sané had to take his place.
It happens just 13 days before Mane’s team, Senegal, plays the Netherlands in the first game of the 2022 World Cup.
Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann said, “He’ll need an X-ray to find out what happened.”
“He got hit in the tibial plateau, which is the top of the shin. “It hurts there.”
Bayern, on the other hand, won easily, and Serge Gnabry scored a hat-trick.
But the French newspaper L’Equipe says that the Senegal star will not be able to go to Qatar for the Mundial.
The former Liverpool player is said to have a tendon problem, so he is likely to miss a few weeks of games.
On Friday, Senegal’s coach Aliou Cissé will say which players will go to Qatar.
