Argentina National Team Train Without Messi After Losing To Saudi Arabia
Argentina’s players were seen training on Wednesday afternoon without their best player, Lionel Messi, in a video that Goal posted on their social media site.
Even though no one knows for sure why Messi didn’t show up to training, many fans are already making up stories that his absence has something to do with Argentina’s shocking loss to Saudi Arabia.
But this is not the first time Lionel Messi has missed Argentina’s training sessions in Qatar. We remember that he did not take part in the team’s first practice before the game against Saudi Arabia.
On November 22, 2022, Argentina’s first game in the World Cup was against Saudi Arabia, and they lost. Football fans were shocked.
After ten minutes of play, Messi scored his first goal of the tournament from the penalty spot, giving the South American team an early lead.
After that, VAR took away two goals by Lautaro Martinez and one by Messi because they were scored while they were offside.
In the first half, Saudi Arabia played badly and didn’t get a single shot on goal. But Al Shehri tied the game for the Green Falcons in the 48th minute, very early in the second half.
Al Dawsari hit a curler past Emiliano Martinez, giving Saudi Arabia the lead and shocking Argentina.
Since Lionel Messi isn’t training with Argentina, we don’t know how the seven-time Ballon D’or winner is feeling about the loss.
