Edmund Addo, Abalora and two other Ghanaians win Moldovan league with FC Sheriff

Ghanaian quartet, Edmund Addo, Abdul Basit Khalid, Patrick Kpozo and ex- Kotoko goalkeeper Razak Abalora are Moldovan topflight league champions with FC Sheriff Tiraspol after a convincing victory yesterday.

The Yellow and Blacks exhibited a stupendous display last Friday to thump on Dinamo-Auto by a resounding 0-3 away triumph to confirm themselves as conquerors of Moldova with two games to spare.

After a very tough first half, Burkinabé international Cedric Badolo opened the scoring account on the 61st minute coupled with other goals from Brazilian Bruno Felipe and Adams Traore from Mali sealed the win.
Edmund Addo and Razak Abalora were handed starting spots and went on to last the entire duration of the game. Patrick Kpozo was later introduced but Abdul Basit Khalid warmed the bench in the entire game.
The former Kotoko skipper who join them this happens to win his first trophy for the Moldavan side Sherif fc, meamwhile, they are on course to winning the double this season, having edged out the same side in the midweek by 2-3 to cruise into the league cup final
