BLOW: Medeama SC’s Boris Mandjui Jnr to miss the remainder of the season due to injury Featured
Medeama SC goalkeeper, Boris Mandjui Jnr is very likely to be sidelined for the remainder of the 2021/22 season due to injury, per reports reaching Kickgh.com
The Ivorian goalie has been the first choice in Tarkwa so far in the season but sadly sustained a knee injury in their painful home loss against Dreams FC last Monday in week 17.
However, he was sent to the Health Plus Hospital in Tarkwa but was subsequently referred to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in the capital for a surgery.
After a successful surgery and undergoing the MRI scan, it has appeared that, the stalwart shot-stopper is unlikely to feature in any game for the Mauves and Yellows in the rest of the season.
The 25 year old undoubtedly is one of the best goalkeepers in the league this season having finished the first round as the second with the most clean sheets keeping 10 in 16 matches.
In his absence, former Berekum Chelsea and Eleven Wonders man, John Moosie is the one to take the mantle in goal when the second phase of the season commences.
The two time FA Cup champions had seven wins, five draws and four defeats and amassed 26 points which placed them 6th on the league log after the first round.
