The Ghana Football Association says the Black Stars of Ghana limped in a match that ended 3-0 in favour of Mali in a story sighted by SuperSports24.com. 

The new coach of the Ghana National Team, Coach C.K Akonnor decided to try some new players as he handed debut three players a spot in the first 11. This could have been done through substitutions as the game progressed.

The team was leaking and weak in defense and so the Eagles of Mali took advantage of the defensive weakness of the team to smashed a brilliant ball into the goalposts through the legs of Ghana goalkeeper Lawrence Ati Zigi. The goalkeeper needs to be worked on if the coach has hopes in him.

Why Ghana Blacks Stars Lost to Mali 3-0 is not difficult to tell. The Black Stars were not playing like they are known to be as the team lacked creativity in every aspect of the game. They were not enterprising, to say the least, and there was no one in the team ready to own up for the challenge. The flat team indeed was indeed lucky to have picked just three balls from their goal post. 

Thomas Partey, the talisman of the side who was expected to shine through the clouds looked very heavy and the efforts of Alexander Djiku and Bernard Mensah in midfield did not work for the team. The strength of the Black Stars in the midfield but on the day, it was absent as the Mali trio Cheick Doucoure, Fofana Mamadou Haidara Amadou, and Toni Kevin were left to dictate the game in midfield, Every attack initiated by the three looked dangerous. 

The current state of the Ghana Black Stars with Coach C.K Akonnor in charge looks poor. Ghana will face Asian Champions and 2022 World Cup host Qatar in another friendly game on October 12. Qatar will not be a walkover, and if Ghana fails to rise to the occasion, the scoreline maybe disheartening than that of the Mali game. 

The Qatar v Ghana game will be held at the Titanic sports complex in Antalya, Turkey.
