Medeama Sporting Club Gets Gh₵1,000,000 from Ghana Government to Prepare for CAF Champions League
In preparation for the group games that Medeama Sporting Club will be playing in the CAF Champions League, the Minister for Youth and Sports, Mr. Mustapha Ussif, has given the club with a sum of one million Ghana cedis.
The club paid a courtesy call on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo at the Jubilee House to brief him on their preparations for the CAF Champions League. The donation was made in order to meet the commitment that President Akufo-Addo had made to the club.
Mr. Ussif made the observation that the donation would be of great assistance to the club in terms of assisting them in preparing extensively for their engagements in the continental competition and providing them with a financial boost for the task that lies ahead.
According to Mr. George Mireku Duker, the Member of Parliament for the Tarkwa Nsuaem Constituency, who was the recipient of the cheque, he expressed his gratitude to the President for keeping his promise to the club.
He gave Ghanaians the assurance that the team would perform to the best of its abilities in the competition and bring pride to the nation.
