CHAN 2023: Ghana group opponent Morocco threaten to boycott tournament

Morocco’s national team, which plays at home, has said that they might not go to the CHAN tournament in Egypt in 2023. The tournament starts in less than a month.

From what we know, the team is threatening to boycott if the long flight plans don’t change.

A chartered flight from Rabat to Constantine takes only 90 minutes, while their regular flight will take 8 HOURS and go through Tunisia.

The team is unhappy with the way things are set up, so they have threatened to quit the tournament if something isn’t done.

On Tuesday, December 27, the Morocco FA board voted unanimously to make the same choice.

At the CHAN 2023 tournament, Morocco will be in Group C with Ghana, Sudan, and Madagascar. They will play against each other.

On the first weekend of the tournament, the Black Galaxies of Ghana will play their first game against Madagascar, and Morocco will play against Sudan. The tournament will be held in Algeria.
