Black Stars forward Majeed Waris establishing a huge mosque in Tamale
Ghanaian international, Abdul Majeed Waris is establishing a huge mosque which is set to be completed very soon for Muslims in his native Tamale.
The former Black Stars striker is showing this great gesture as a sign of giving back to the society where he started from reason behind the building of this scared venue.
The mosque is really a huge one with two storey building which can accommodate over 100 people at a time.
The 30 year old never featured in the Ghanaian topflight but has been playing in Europe for almost 15 years now having played for clubs like Spartak Moscow, Lorient, Valenciennes, FC Porto, Nantes and many more.
Currently, he plies his trade for French Ligue 1 side Strasbourg, having honoured 14 games with 2 goals to his belt so far in the ongoing season.
Waris, 30, made his debut for the senior national team in 2012, scored against Sudan and Egypt in the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers and subsequently made the final squad for the big tournament in Brazil.
